BULMER CHOIR
An informal group of people from Bulmer and the surrounding villages who enjoy singing together.
Meets in Bulmer village hall on Mondays 8-9.30 pm.
Under a new musical director, Graham Bier, and accompaniment by Hazel Ward on a new keyboard, we are looking forward to an exciting new singing year.
We sing a wide range of music in 2 or 4 part harmony. There are no auditions and although it is useful to be able to read music it is not essential. We have to practice and learn each part separately.
Cost £2 per attendance plus £3 for an initial folder of our existing repertoire.

MALTON AND NORTON MUSICAL THEATRE
Malton & Norton Musical Theatre (the former Malton & Norton Amateur Operatic Society) is the best known of the district's amateur performing groups. It was founded in 1949 and has performed hundreds of musicals, concerts and pantomimes across the years.
It used to perform three shows a year but recently only the panto has been performed. Efforts are now under way with new members to revive the show tradition and it is hoped to put on a musical again in 2010.
Singing sessions are on Tuesday in the Parish Rooms in Spital Street Malton at 7.30. Rehearsals for this year's panto (Aladdin) start with a read-through there on Monday September 7 at 7.30.
